Workmanship Warranty – A1 Earthworks

At A1 Earthworks, we stand behind the quality of our services. We offer a 1-year Workmanship Warranty on labor associated with paver installation, grading, drainage, excavation, and other site development services.

Warranty Coverage Includes

This warranty covers defects in labor resulting from services performed directly by A1 Earthworks within the original agreed scope. Covered items include:

  • Paver Installation: Issues such as shifting, uneven settling, or separation caused by improper base prep or installation.

Pool Area Notice: When pavers are installed adjacent to pools, some dust, sand, or debris may enter the pool during construction. While we take precautions to minimize this, it is a normal part of the process. A1 Earthworks is not responsible for post-installation pool cleaning, filter maintenance, or related service costs. Customers should plan for possible pool servicing after paver work is completed.

  • Grading and Site Work: Surface irregularities or unintended water pooling caused solely by execution errors in grading.

  • Drainage Systems: Failures in French drains, catch basins, swales, or drainpipes due to improper installation or slope.

  • Excavation & Land Development: Problems resulting from incorrect excavation or compaction methods.

Exclusions – What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by weather events, flooding, hurricanes, erosion, or unstable subsurface conditions.

  • Material failure (refer to applicable manufacturer warranties).

  • Work that has been modified or repaired by others after completion.

  • Normal wear and tear or landscape changes beyond our scope of work.

Grading and Drainage Disclaimer

If grading or drainage work was performed per the customer’s design, direction, or request, A1 Earthworks is not responsible for resulting downstream issues. This includes—but is not limited to—flooding or water accumulation in discharge areas, redirected runoff, erosion in unintended zones, or impacts to adjacent properties. Full property hydrology should be reviewed by a qualified engineer if needed; our role is limited to executing the work as agreed.

Important Notice – Underground Utilities

A1 Earthworks contacts 811 to locate public utilities prior to excavation. However, private underground systems such as irrigation lines, internet/cable wires, low-voltage lighting, and invisible fences are not marked by 811 and are often shallow and untraceable.

While we use caution, accidental damage to these unmarked systems may occur during grading or installation services.

  • Irrigation Repairs: Minor PVC irrigation repairs may be performed on-site. More extensive damage may require a licensed subcontractor and will be billed separately.

  • Non-Irrigation Private Lines: Internet, cable, or other non-irrigation lines will not be repaired by A1 Earthworks. Customers are responsible for coordinating restoration with their service provider.

Important Notice – Sod Installation

Sod is a living product that requires immediate and ongoing care following installation. A1 Earthworks is not responsible for sod health once installed. The customer is fully responsible for proper care, including:

  • Watering and Fertilization: The customer must water the sod immediately and consistently. Delays in watering—even if caused by irrigation system failure—do not qualify for replacement or refund.

  • Maintenance Responsibility: Sod care, including mowing, pest control, and disease prevention, is the customer's responsibility.

  • Irrigation Advisory: Hand-watering is strongly recommended until the irrigation system is confirmed to be fully operational.

A detailed Sod Care Guide is available upon request.

Select materials used in construction or landscaping may be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. A1 Earthworks is not responsible for the warranty terms or replacement process but will assist in providing documentation if needed.
